I went to buy Verity but it came with an 18+ warning. I’ve never seen that before on a book. Could anyone explain why this would be?

Ok, so Verity by Coleen Hoover! I really enjoyed it. It was the first book I read by her. Can anyone recommend any other awesome books by her?

My library doesn’t have Verity. Should I buy it off Amazon? Worth it! I never buy books because I’m used to getting them for free!

Is the graphic content central to the story?

@Michelle yeah I’d say so. I mean we’re not talking fifty shades type stuff here but I’d say it’s more graphic than your run of the mill romance novel

It’s not just sexual. There’s violence and child abuse/death. It could be very triggering.

Thank you for this. I have been pondering reading it because everyone has said it is so good, but what you said makes it a big NOPE for me.

I did like it, it was just really dark sometimes.

Mya Catherine Taylor yes, I understand. I’m well into middle age. I’ve never seen it concerning a book, which is why I thought I’d ask this very kind group about the book before I purchased it.

Where did you see this warning? I wish more books had this because I hate when I’m reading a book that’s really good and all of a sudden it gets super racy. Or books that I like otherwise but use WAY too much unnecessary profanity. ?

@Aubree it was on Amazon when I looked at the e-book. I agree. I wish more books would come with warnings if they need it.
