The Three Musketeers A Tale of Two Cities Treasure Island The Prince & The Pauper White Fang All the Sherlock stories Shakespeare’s Tragedies Dracula Pride & Prejudice Okay, I’ll stop now…???
ALL of them! =D Great Expectations and A Christmas Carol, Innocents Abroad, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, Anne of Green Gables, I think Nancy Drew is now considered a ‘classic’, Wuthering Heights, Tess of the D’Ubervilles, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, Sherlock Holmes, Moll Flanders, Animal Farm, Brave New World, so many!
If you’re JUST starting to read classics (no shame!) start newer and work your way back. It’s really hard to dive into an quasi Old English style writing. I tried to read Jane Austen in high school and quit two chapters in because I couldn’t focus on what they were saying because the dialect was too different. Start with a book from the 80s like The Color Purple, then jump back to the 60s with Valley of the Dolls, then jump back a few more decades with Rebecca, then read The Wizard of Oz (written in 1900 I think) then after that you should be ready for any classic!!!

I actually enjoyed Of Mice and Men. And it’s really short
Oh and the movie is in Netflix I think. (At least it was) and the movie is pretty good and sticks close to the book 🙂
Slaughterhouse 5, it’s a fairly short but very profound story.
