Why settle for that when you can own your own book store and read all the new releases before anyone else…?

What a great idea! I’m going to try this with my 4 yr old niece – I’m thrilled she loves books already. I wish this had occurred to me as a kid.

Can I just be The Phantom of the Library? Dewey decimal system confuses me, and I can never decide if things like dragon stories belongs with fantasy or animal… I just wanna roam the stacks and read.

Best gig ever. I was fortunate enough to finish out my teaching career as a school librarian. It was great. Do it if you can!

My mum was a librarian before she retired. She is absolutely 100% the reason why I love books so much and my 5 year old loves books too. My first bed had a bookcase across the back – I could just look up from my pillow and see all my lovely books all lined up. Mum has also brought countless good books to our attention and also introduced the birthday and Christmas tradition that I have carried Kev with my son and my nieces – that at the end of the day on their birthday / Christmas, there is always one last present, all wrapped up – a new book. ?

I started as a library assistant in 11th grade/junior year. Worked off and on through my first two years of college, till my chronic fatigue syndrome kept me from working. I’m still a librarian at heart so I’m keeping an eye out for online courses in Library Science and bought “The Portable MLIS” (Masters in Library Science) to get the schooling started! I’m 41 years old.
