The Stand for sure.

IT is another gem of a story.

If you’re looking for something shorter, try the Shining, Cujo, Pet Sematary, Different Seasons.

I have so many favorites! The ones I reread the most are Firestarter, The Shining, Eyes of the Dragon, and The Long Walk.

But It, The Stand, and Lisey’s Story are probably my three favorites – they’re just too long to reread too often. ?

Carrie, Cujo, Desperation, Dreamcatcher, Firestarter, Four Past Midnight, The Green Mile, It, Misery, Nightmare and Dreamscapes, Pet Sematary, and there are a lot of other books by him that you might be interested in, including The Dark Tower series. I couldn’t get into those. But you might love The Dark Tower series.

I literally SCREAMED, threw the book, and slept in my parent’s room (I was 17). Reading, writing, or saying the words “Moonlight and shadows” still gives me goosebumps. I have them now! I don’t know that I would recommend that for a first read though 🙂

I found Misery rather different from most of his books. The feeling of that man being confined to one room, unable to walk, was terrifying. Pet Semetary was very scary and the last few lines unforgettable, but, not wanting to give away the story, I didn’t like the very sad part towards the end.
