@Jordan I love both of those series and I just recently read the Air awaken series and it quickly climbed my favorite series of all time list! It’s amazing! An emotional train wreck but soooo good!

@Jordan I would say air awakens or kiss of deception. If you meant of kiss of deception and falling kingdoms…ummm..maybe kiss of deception by just a tad.

If you’re up to a massive series, Robert Jordans Wheel of Time is a must. Otherwise, the trilogy that got me into fantasy- R A Salvatore’s Icewind Dale trilogy.

It’s not my favorite stuff to read, but… I love Colleen Oakes so I know I’ll read it at some point.

He listens to audio books at work but he liked this series so much he actually volunteered to buy me the hard copies so I would read them. That in and if itself makes me believe they are really good ?

Grisha trilogy / Six of Crows!
Not YA, but Winternight trilogy by Katherine Arden and The Night Angels trilogy by Brent Weeks were beyond fantastic ❤️

I read Six of Crows first and honestly connected with it more. BUT, as an afterthought now that I’ve finished Grisha, it gave a better idea of the magic system and the world set up!

My favorite is not YA, but they’re still enjoyable- the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. He created an awesome world and story to go with it.

If you like steampunk, my close second is the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger. Both of these series also have strong female protagonists.
