Do you like to be scared while camping? If so, read The Bear by Claire Cameron :).

Forest Ranger had a booklet if “Colonial Health Remedies”
(or something along those lines); read it around the campfire one night. Coincidentally, one of the old timey treatments ended up coming in very handy a few weeks later. Bottom line, read something totally different. ?

I love just about anything honestly. From Harding, to King, to romance but recently I’ve been reading a lot of drama and heartache. I’ve been reading Chevy Stephens books and just finished Lovely bones.

Don’t come camping in Michigan! I’ve been freezing my butt off for 3 days in this tent!

Mosquitos seemed bad when I was up there in June too. Seems like a cold wet year in northern MI

I just finished the Nick Adams Stories by Hemingway. Made me appreciate all the REI camping equipment I have used over the years!

The Girl Who Loved Tom Gorden by Stephen King, story of a young girl who gets lost on the Appalachian Trail. I’m not normally a King fan but this was excellent.

Not literature by any means but I love the Woods Cop series by Joseph Heywood. Main character is a Dept of Natural Resources officer in the UP.
