Me too!!! Did you read Half Broke Horses? I think that’s the name. It’s her Grandmothers Story. Very good!

I loved it too. This may have been a catalyst for my obsession to read all the memoirs I come across. I just love this genre now.

@Carolyn Oh I loved that one! Funny tragic, and a bit dark at times.

I saw the movie. I don’t think I have the emotional strength for the book.

@Susie The end of the book (not included in the movie) was really heartbreaking!

I honestly don’t think I could handle it. The guy they picked to play Bart in the movie was fantastic. I know there was some literary license taken with the movie but overall it got the point across ?❤

My friend I recommended it to hated it so you aren’t the only one! Haha! Actually both those books!

Thankfully we don’t all have the same taste in literature. This is what makes the world interesting.

Irene

@Jan Of course but it did make me wonder what I missed. I’m also the only person in America who hates the movie UP.

Well, I guess I liked it because I could identify with it……growing up with alcoholic parents in a dysfunctional family……..AND I DO like true stories.
