try the selection series by kiera cass its five (?) books but the last two are technically spin offs but the triology is where its at! super cute “dytopian” ya romance i wanted so much more of it…its like the bachelor but political intrigue-y
@Brandi oh she IS the best so emotional, raw, and sweet books and definitely add them to your tbr pile but honestly The Summer I Turned Pretty is better!
That’s on my list. I just finished To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. I also recently finished Dumplin’. And I’m reading The Kissing Booth, which isn’t great. And listening to the Twilight series on audio books.
@Kayla oh my gosh it was amazing better than To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before in my opinion! And yeah I watched Dumplin and it’s on my TBR pile and yeahh The Kissing Booth was not great and it’s been a long time since I’ve read Twilight I still miss it!
The book Dumplin’ had a lot more romance than the movie and was a lot better. I liked the movie for a the Kissing Booth, but so far the book isn’t doing anything for me.
I go through phases in my reading. Right now I’m mostly reading mysteries and thrillers with other things randomly sprinkled in. If I read something especially deep or heavy, I usually need a quick, goofy read to sort of clear my head. In those times I usually turn to “Cozy Mysteries”. Some of them are quite good actually. Others are just the silly thing I need to transition to something else. Not a thriller or mystery: I am currently obsessed with the Beartown series and I’m impatiently waiting for the third in the trilogy to even be written. ????
I don’t like most love stories because they’re just so damn predictable. And unrealistic. Like seriously, if a guy did half of the things they do in movies, yall would be creeped out. Like this.
I love young adult romance. I don’t have to keep jumping over the erotica parts, for the story line. Just lead me up to it. I know what happens, of course maybe it just my age.
I like dystopian YA and classics.
@Kail I love the classics too especially gothic literature!
@Madison Same! What are some of your favorites? I especially love Jane Eyre and Rebecca.
@Kail I love Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights!
Romance but i havnt read one since sarah dessens last one. Can u give me recs here?
@Morgan I love romance too and do you YA or regular romance?

@Brandi oh she IS the best so emotional, raw, and sweet books and definitely add them to your tbr pile but honestly The Summer I Turned Pretty is better!
Regular and YA
@Morgan I also just finished Crazy Rich Asians series and it was pretty good.
Mystery
YA Dystopian is my favorite genre, but I’m kind of obsessed with YA romance right now. There’s just something about reading about first love. ?
@Kayla yesss I loveee YA romance I just finished The Summer I Turned Pretty by.Jenny Han and it was amazing!!
That’s on my list. I just finished To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. I also recently finished Dumplin’. And I’m reading The Kissing Booth, which isn’t great. And listening to the Twilight series on audio books.

@Kayla I do like the romance more and now I’m reading a collection of YA winter romance books called Snow in Love.
Did you ever read Let it Snow?
Paranormal Romance and i do like me some motorcycle club romance… pretty much anything with an alpha male lead
@Victoria yesss definitely or reverse harem anything with a sexy alpha male in it!
Fantasy (both YA and adult) and historical fiction
I go through phases in my reading. Right now I’m mostly reading mysteries and thrillers with other things randomly sprinkled in. If I read something especially deep or heavy, I usually need a quick, goofy read to sort of clear my head. In those times I usually turn to “Cozy Mysteries”. Some of them are quite good actually. Literary fiction. I also really love YA, as long as it’s literary. I’m not a fan of YA fantasy or YA mystery.
I like YA Litrpg…? it really is a terrible name for a genre. ?
What’s litrpg
@Ankit literature about role playing games. 🙂
Not the most favorite but i like it a lotttt. TFIOS, Sun is also a star are among my fv books
@Ankit The Fault in Our Stars was pretty good even though it was sad!
@Madison yeah. But it had a kinda cheerful ending. And i happen to gravitate towards sad endings too. ?. A walk to remember, more happy than not etc.
Ankit Kumar yeah I love happy endings not even slightly ambiguous ones.
@Madison ?? i get it. Which one’s your fav?
@Ankit way too many choices..
I don’t like most love stories because they’re just so damn predictable. And unrealistic. Like seriously, if a guy did half of the things they do in movies, yall would be creeped out. Like this.
I happen to think movies are based on a pinch of reality. A few would be flattered ?
@Ankit Yeah. And the other 99% would just call you clingy and smothering.
@Tony ??? maybeee. Haven’t tried
I can’t stand romance either.
@Charlotte I know right? I’m always sitting there like: Stop staring into each other’s eyes and get on with the story!
But admittedly, I LOVE Mulan Rouge. <3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YsMvzgeSuI
@Tony I love Moulin Rouge too and Strictly Ballroom.
Historical romance would have to be my favorite ❤️
I love YA romance, YA fantasy, YA retellings, children’s classics, myths, legends, folktales and of course, fairy tales
@Yves I love YA romance too even though I have already gone through all the new ones and I have hit a reading wall!
@Madison — Sometimes it feels that there aren’t enough good YA romances out there.
Horror, historical fiction, classics, mysteries, and thrillers
YA Fantasy/Science Fiction, and general Fantasy/Science Fiction, especially dystopian/post-apocalyptic
Fantasy, Sci-fi, classics.
Magical cozy mysteries… I love all kinds of books but I have been stuck on this genre for almost a year!
?
? Murder Mysteries ?
Used to be really into fantasy, but now more of a regular fiction/classics gal.
I like various YA. A lot of fantasy. Some historical fiction, a few non fiction… I’ll pretty much try anything that’s a good read! ?
Fantasy
Mystery and horror is my fave!
YA supernatural/fantasy sometimes a little YA horror. I also really enjoy sci-fi and the occasional romance (Nora Robert’s Bride Quartet series)

Cozy Mysteries
I love a little bit of everything, but I do lean more towards contemporary and fantasy ?
Lately, history, fiction or non-.
Fantasy, Thriller, History.
I like true stories and biographies
Romance and mystery
I love young adult romance. I don’t have to keep jumping over the erotica parts, for the story line. Just lead me up to it. I know what happens, of course maybe it just my age.
