Try the Alphabet series with Kinsey Millhone, female PI. Each book has a letter in it. Author is Sue Grafton and she’s almost to the end of the alphabet. First one is A is for Alibi.
Love these…
Mary Higgins Clark is wonderful suspense.
Michael Connelly!
If you like Brown you may like, Mary Burton, Karen Rose, Rita Herron and J.T. Ellison.
Lisa gardener, Lee Child, Lisa Jackson
Louise Penny’s Inspector Gamache Series; Deborah Crombie’s Duncan Kincaid & Gemma James series; Adrian McKinty’s Sean Duffy series. These are more mystery, less suspense. But they involve deeply complex characters, thought-provoking plots, historical context and quite a bit of humor.
Ohh…I’ll add Crombie and McKinty to my list! Thank you
