I dont really get the hype of this book. Not greatly written and getting a bit tired of all the obsessive sex of verity for her hubby. I am only 60 percent through though

I just finished it. Didn’t quite live up to the hype, but I enjoyed it anyway. Not really a romance. It’s a quick read, so I recommend!

It has explicit sex scenes but it’s more psychological thriller than romance. I really enjoyed it although found the sex repetitive and over used.

I am 1/2 way thru it…and yes I agree…trash. Over done sex scenes which seems to be all this book is about…with a storyline thrown in on the side. Disappointing for a book that is selling like crazy. Think 50 Shades only with a psychological twist to it…writing is like an amature.

Psychological thriller-ish… some good bits, but the plot is not very believable and neither were the characters, unfortunately. A disappointment.

Are you looking for romance? Verity isn’t romance. It’s a very dark psych thriller. Imo it’s a great book, because I like disturbing books, but if you’re looking for romance this ain’t it.

I hate sappy romance (I loved the first gray book) and a lot of posts refer to too much sex in this book.
I dislike romance normally but LOVED this book. I just skim past all the sex because that’s not what makes it great.

So interesting to see all the very different responses, but I enjoyed it!! Good writing, interesting characters, twist at the end… Maybe not on the top of my favorite book list, but I would definitely read more by this author. Not every book can be top on the list of “best ever written.”

Its awesome if you love suspense filled Thrillers!!! There is some romance but it is not main focus.. It is very good!
The story was intriguing but I honestly grew tired of the language and explicit sex scenes. IMO, a little goes a long way. I sent my copy to a friend, who quit 50 pages in due to the language alone.

If infidelity, gratuitous sex and murder are romantic, then yes it is. I would never recommend it to anyone.
