Do you like young adult lit? There’s a great series by Cassandra Clare- The Mortal Instruments. Good fantasy, a little less on the sexy stuff than Sookie though!

not sure about the dresden files for a 12 year old. Try Spellbound Cozy Mysteries by Annabel Chase. I think there are 8 books in the series.

Anita Blake is pretty good until Obsidian Butterfly, goes to trash after that but it’s a very long series if you want something long and fantasy based

I agree! Got sucked in and then ugh! But way down the line!

Yep and I stuck with it until about 2013 or so then had to stop… couldn’t keep reading that ridiculousness and waiting for the new books and keeping everything straight in between books

My friend mentioned this author!! She mustbe very good. Is it about vampires, like a romance type?x

Amy

It’s everything supernatural. And very steamy and smutty. Lol but I don’t read it for that part.

Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series is a great read. Lots of different supernatural creatures and it has a few different narrators over the books as well so it never gets boring.

Unfamiliar with Sookie Stackhouse (have heard the name, but that’s it) – is it YA? Fantasy? Would someone mind giving me a snapshot of the series? Thx!

If you’ve heard of the TV series from a few years ago called True Blood (vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures)…that was all based on the Sookie Stackhouse books.
