Germaine

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, non-fiction.
Lone Wolf and Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult, as well as most of her other books on various subjects.
Jeffery Deaver writes like an expert in the subjects of aviation and airplane mechanics, and magic in his books The Coffin Dancer and The Vanished Man . You can only accomplish that with thorough research.

The Dark Days Club is ostensibly a fantasy AR in the Regency period, but the fantasy element takes a back seat to the lavish descriptions of the period. I found the level of detail irritating, as I felt it didn’t help the story, but there is no doubt that the era is incredibly well researched & depicted.

Kathy Reichs is a forensic anthropologist. So, her main character being a forensic anthropologist is definitely well researched.
