I’m a huge Stephen King fan, his latest one was great. I can’t really name a favorite, they’re all good!

I’ve read misery only… I didn’t love it. I thought it was a bit exaggerated. Like the wanton cruelty I mean…. A bit far-fetched… Perhaps because I hadn’t tried this kind of stuff before

Oh gosh, that is like asking me which of my 60 children is my favorite. If I really had to go there…The Shining followed by Doctor Sleep.

big King fan. I love: The Dead Zone, The Stand, The Shining & Dr. Sleep, all Dark Tower books, Bag of Bones, & so many more! he has so many great short stories as well.
I have read The Outsider & loved it. just a caution: a characters backstory contains spoilers for all three books in the ‘Bill Hodges trilogy’ (Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, & End of Watch) if you haven’t read them first.

He’s my favorite author!! I have 56 of his books so far, most in hardback. It’s so hard to pick a favorite, but “11/22/63” is at the top of the list. “Insomnia” was also an amazing book. “The Outsider” was the last one I read and it was a great read, also.

Ooh yea I was wandering about this and was hoping someone would mention it ? I did some research and noticed he wrote under a different name for a while. I don’t suppose you know why? Are the books the same style of writing?

0
Ian

He was in a transition period between publishers and was trying to see how an unsigned author could get a publishing deal from the rival publishers. He failed twice. Then Hodder and Stroughton took him on and he’s used them ever since.

0
Ian

Amy-Daisy Hunte 8 years he wrote as himself and Richard Batchman. 77-85. If I remember rightly.

I’ve been reading him since the first book. I don’t think I’ve read a Stephen King book I haven’t liked. Some more than others, but I really like his books a lot. The Stand is really good, so is Insomnia, and 11/22/63, Salem’s Lot, Needful Things, Pet Cemetery, Cujo, etc. Let’s just say all of his books 🙂

Christine was also really good, one of the first I read of his. The Stand I think was the first book of his I read, and that encouraged me to read all his others. But not so much his latest stuff, other than 11/22/63 which was great

1
Angela

Just discivered 11/22/63 on husbands extensive book shelf. I’ll try it – trouble is it is a huge hardback and I read mostly paperbacks in bed…. Hope it is worth it.
