The Gentlemen Bastards by Scott Lynch. Stormlight Archives by Sanderson. I’ve heard Robin Hobb is good but I haven’t read any of her stuff. Chronicles of the black gate was good I’m about half way through the series. Anything by Will Wight although the travelers gate was my fave

Hobb is definitely not fast paced

None of these are fast, easy reads.

To me it was. Lots of action, dialogue, great plots and humor. It kept me turning the pages. So yeah, to me it was fast paced 🙂

You’re the only fantasy fan I have ever seen that didn’t like Riyria

oh man that’s actually the first time i’ve ever heard that. but you could try faithful and the fallen, it’s action packed and has great characters.

I finished the crown conspiracy but it just felt “too clasic” to me.
I did enjoy The powder mage trilogy but I need something really addicting, like fantasy crack

I liked Powder Mage but not as well as Riyria. I found Riyria incredibly addicting. Maybe because it was somewhat classic. That changes the further along the series goes.

@Troy it’s possible. I hate reading slumps but I guess I just haven’t read anything that sucked me in for a while.

try the faithful and the fallen

@Brandon worth it? I heard mixed reviews

yeah i didn’t go into it with very high expectations, but i’ve absolutely devoured them. super action packed with great plot and twists and i love the characters. i read the first two in under a week and i’m almost done with the 3rd one right now

The Mckayla Lane series, by Karen Moning, was face paced. Lots of books in the series though.

If I may I would recommend my own book “The Blade And The Flame”. It’s supposed to be very fast paced, and of those that read it everyone agrees.

Some of your books look great. However, after Martin’s and Ruthfus’¢ Fiasco’s, I’m a bit paranoid about non completed or almost completed series.
I’m sure some are good, but you never know with Spfbo

If I may, don’t worry about mine. I’m in the middle of writing the second, and am working on plans for the third one.
