I bought it for my Daughter in hardback. I only read off my kindle now days. She has only read 50 or so pages if that. She is really too busy with a 18 month old and full time work. I tend to stay away from those years in books but have read my fair share. I do not see myself reading it . But one never knows?
Oh my yes! Absolutely love the exquisite writing! It is rather hard to read because of the history and the unbelievable things done to the children but so well worth the read!

I think I’m probably in the minority but I avoid WW2 books at all costs

i almost read it and then decided I really wasn’t up for the subject matter.. Ive heard good things about it though.

I’ve made it about halfway through and really like it, but it’s an emotional gut-punch, to say the least.
I read it. I loved it but it truly broke my heart. A very emotional book.
