My friends and I read this when we first moved to San Francisco in 1968. Changed my life at the time, but not sure it would hold up today.

A great peek at the counter culture of the times. I still reference it to this day. Recently bought it for my 19 yo son.

Yes love the beats it makes you want to throw caution to the wind and live under the influence… that’s what reading is for- so you don’t actually have to do it to “experience” it ??
