Shuizmz Shuizmz i found almost all of my husband’s favorites books the wheel of time there. Ii keep my eyes out for the few I’m missing but there was no way i could have got them for that price.
They are all good…I just keep all tabs open and get the most inexpensive. 😉 Barnes & Noble has a section of cheaper books, as does Amazon. I once got a book from Amazon, and it was dirty! I mean food on the cover or SOMETHING! I washed it and reviewed it and got my money back because of it….and able to keep the book.
I have brought at least 10 books and was very please with the service and books-1 book was dingy; but the other ones looked almost new. A few were former library books. I will keep ordering from them
I like that when you click on the book, they tell you how many COPIES they have. I have an author, and they go back 20 or more years. So I have been choosing the ones to buy based on how many copies they have. Older books, less copies, check. newer books, more copies, wish list. Wish they had a referral list. I can recommend you and I get a present, and you might too, but, if you tell them I sent you, it means nothing. Have a great day. (Want to travel the world ? mostly involves ships, of all kinds, and beat the bad guys ? Clive Cussler – and his early ones, the hero takes the girl out to dinner. )
@Taryn I could not message you, so if you mean my profile pic, I will say this. I am not Mormon. – the pic can be found on You Tube if you google Grand Canyon general store – The inside walls of the building (steps are circular and it goes 3 stories ) all have paintings on them, done by Native Americans when they built the building from rocks/materials from that area.
I order from them a lot, but I don’t care for used books. The price is right however. They put stickers on their books, covers and binding, the sticker always seems to remove part of the cover on the binding, which ticks me off. I’ve received books that are supposedly in good and like new condition, that my books that I’ve had for YEARS, do NOT look like. Writing on the pages, bent covers. But, you get what you pay for I guess. I prefer BookOutlet.
I meant Kayla Gallup, sorry for the confusion. She has a Mormon temple in her background. 🙂 xD is an emoticon, like the smiley face. It’s supposed to be like ? but with letters instead of using the emoji keyboard.
I’m in the UK and I’ve had a couple from thriftbooks delivered to me here. In good condition.. Clearly used, but by no means ready for the scrap heap just yet!
And I love that I have books from American ‘elementary’ and ‘middle’ schools in my collection! We dont use those words over here, so it makes them even rarer to me!
I have bought books off of Thrift Books and I like them. If you spend $10 or more you get free shipping on your orders. Also there is no sales tax.
most of my books are fomr goodwill

Have all been good; however, they use a thin plastic shipping envelope with no padding and I have a couple of hardcovers arrive in poor condition.
Often!! They have been in good shape…true tot he descriptions.
Got a link to the goodwill ? and they have a wish list too ?

I’ve ordered twice from thriftbooks. The books sometimes are not very pretty but they are readable and inexpensive.
