I think it was reissued when they made it into a movie – 70’s maybe? It is historical fiction, so the books themselves are not ‘dated’ as realistic fiction would be .

The Lumatere Chronicles (Melina Marchetta) – starts with Froi of the Exiles. Megan Whalen Turner’s Thief series (though it’s a little more than a trilogy). The Wrinkle Quartet by Madeleine L’Engle. So many more – some I am not sure how many books there are going to be though. Jeanette Walls basically has a trilogy of her memoirs – The Glass Castle, The Silver Star, Half-Broke Horse’s (I think that’s correct).
