@Bailey I’ve recently started reading king books. I have a monster collection and working my way through them. Insomnia was just so thought provoking! I loved every minute. I’m reading rose madder at the moment.

I can never choose my favorites, but if I did it would probably be The Shining followed by Doctor Sleep, the Mr Mercedes trilogy followed by The Outsider, and The Green Mile. I usually just recommend starting at the beginning because there are so many great books.

The Stand is excellent but the sheer volume of it can be intimidating. Aside from the Passage trilogy, The Stand was one of the longest relationships I ever had with a book.

The Shining followed by The Stand. I have came down with the flu every time I’ve read The Stand which always makes it fun. I prefer his older books to his newer ones and I sometimes think I’m the only Stephen King fan who didn’t like the Dark Tower series.
