I looove ghost stories but I’m always having a hard time finding good, well-written ones. I enjoyed The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson and This House is Haunted by John Boyne. After that, I’m tapped out. I like “realistic” ghost stories, which I know sounds ridiculous. But I want regular, well-written literary fiction – with ghosts! Hard to come by.
Hauntings: Is Tthere anybody there? by Norah Lofts. A book of short stories. She was a wonderful author who will always be one of my favourites. I have most of her books!
