Don’t know what to read now. Too much choice. Does anyone take time between books or do you dive straight in to a new book?

Tend to go straight from one book to the next. I have definitely taken breaks after a particularly heavy read.

Dive right in, unless I have several going at the same time, sometimes I’ll finish the books I’m in the middle of before I start a fresh one.

Go into a new book straight away. I don’t always read every day though so if I finish a book straight away may mean the next night or day.

Depends on the book. Some of them stay with me after I read them and I take a couple of days off.

I’m an avid reader but sometimes I take a break for a week or two and I sometimes vary my reading outside of crime books just so I’m not reading one murder book after another.

I dive straight in but tend to go for a different author

It depends on the book I’ve just finished. Some books say in a series I’ll read the next one straight away as most of the characters are all in place and you can relate to that. I recently read a few psychological thrillers and I’ve had to take time to digest the story. So for me it depends upon the book.

Depends on my mood really. If I finish a book at night, I wait until the next day and see what genre I fancy that day.

Always a problem when you’re enjoying it and it ends it’s almost like a bereavement, this happened me recently with a book called
‘I Am Pilgrim’

2
Sarah

The absolute worst, even though I am working on a trilogy, I didn’t want any of the books to end even though I have one more left. I don’t want to leave the world.

Tony

Out of interest what are you reading? I’ve just started a new series of books (Parish and Richards) by Tim Ellis only started them a few days ago and am already on my second book.

To add on and ask, am I the only one who carries a book around… Just to try to get over that “special book”. Even if you aren’t reading it you just have it with you all times incase you get that boost.

If I have a bad book hangover I go for a genre that is completely different. So if it was a crime book I go for a fluffy. If it was a fluffy I would pick up a horror. Xxx
