So librarians study Ranganathan’s 5 laws of library science two of which are:
Every reader his book and every book its reader. This post is theperfect example!!

Although…my good friend Oprah one time told me give every book 50 pages. If you are past 50 pages, and you are still not feeling it…give yourself the permission to move on.

That’s one of my all-time favorites, but the structure isn’t easy. And, I think she wrote one chapter too many in the end.

I started reading it years ago and hated it early on. Then one day a few months ago I picked it up and couldn’t put it down. It just wasn’t the right time for me I guess.

I hated it, too, but forced myself to finish it, which I now regret. Life is too short to read bad books. I gave the book to my sister-in-law, who took it on a long flight. She hated it, too, and I’m still hearing about how she spent the entire 11 hour flight memorizing the Sky Mall catalog because she considered that a better use of her time.

It’s one of my all time favorite books, but I know others couldn’t finish it. I happen to love books with these kind of story lines

He stalks her across time, even as a child. It’s just gross.

Yeah. I see it now. Just didn’t before. No worries. I didn’t like it before anyway, so it didn’t ruin it. 😉

It is definitely a book that can be hard to focus on because it jumps around so much you have to keep going back to see what date you were supposed to be in. It was ok for me but not great.

This is one of those with viewpoints on all sides when it was discussed before. Love it or hate it. I couldn’t finish it. Some people objected to the back and forth timeline which didn’t bother me. I found the characters shallow and unbelievable and unrelatable. Good luck whichever way you go! 🙂

Hated it. So ridiculous. And not in a good way.

I did not love this book And I’m not sure why. She’s a brilliant writer and her craft is evident in the way she weaves together all the time lines. But I keep rooting for everyone to die anyway.

It took me a few chapters, but I enjoyed it. However, I follow Laurie Notaro’s rule: life is too short to suffer through a bad book. Nothing wrong with deciding it doesn’t float your boat, there are millions of others out there waiting to be read!
