I really enjoyed that book, read it twice!
Yes, it does!!! Stick with it and let us know what you think.
The book is one of my favorites. The movie is terrible!
Ok, I’ll keep plugging away and hope it gets better!
I loved it!
It is a wonderful book!!! Keep reading
Yes!!
I loved that book. Its probably in my top 3.
That’s one book I could never get in to…couldn’t finish it!
I finished it… but didn’t enjoy it!
I enjoyed the book but have never watched the movie.
Nope.
It’s one of my top three, too! But I can see why it doesn’t appeal to some readers.
Walk away!
One of my favorite books of all time!
I felt the same way!!
Yes!! Stick with it!
So librarians study Ranganathan’s 5 laws of library science two of which are:
Every reader his book and every book its reader. This post is theperfect example!!
Although…my good friend Oprah one time told me give every book 50 pages. If you are past 50 pages, and you are still not feeling it…give yourself the permission to move on.
She told me the same thing! ?
@Denise she’s a good friend like that!
I hadn’t heard that! I’ll try it next time!
That’s one of my all-time favorites, but the structure isn’t easy. And, I think she wrote one chapter too many in the end.
Yes!!!
I felt the same way and unfortunately gave up
I loved it!!
One of my all time favorites!! Try to hang in there, it’s so good!
Yes!!
Yes yes yes
I LOVED it
One of my favorite books!
Loved the book so much!!!
I loved it! The back and forth did take me a while to get onto though
It does, keep going!!! So much better than the movie.
Yes!
It’s so good!! Keep going!!
Absolutely!
I put it down
I did too
Worth the read
I loved that book and even the movie
I loved it! But this page has shown me that reasonable minds can differ!
That’s one of my favorites!
I started reading it years ago and hated it early on. Then one day a few months ago I picked it up and couldn’t put it down. It just wasn’t the right time for me I guess.
Couldn’t get through it
It is in my top 10!
I love that book! It can be a little slow at times, but it’s definitely worth it.
I hated it, too, but forced myself to finish it, which I now regret. Life is too short to read bad books. I gave the book to my sister-in-law, who took it on a long flight. She hated it, too, and I’m still hearing about how she spent the entire 11 hour flight memorizing the Sky Mall catalog because she considered that a better use of her time.
It’s one of my all time favorite books, but I know others couldn’t finish it. I happen to love books with these kind of story lines
I thought it was creepy
I hadn’t thought of it that way until this was discussed a few weeks ago, but now I totally agree.
He stalks her across time, even as a child. It’s just gross.
Yeah. I see it now. Just didn’t before. No worries. I didn’t like it before anyway, so it didn’t ruin it. 😉
I loved it….
Loved it I
Listening to it now and love it! Hang in there.
yes
Yes yes yes yes yes. It’s one of my all time favorites.
I loved it!
I love love loved it.
Definitely
Yes. It gets better. ?
Totally. Stick with it.
One of my all time favs!
So good. Keep going. And then read her “My Fearful Symmetry.”
Yes!
Yes, but Her Fearful Symmetry was much better. I wish she’d write more.
Agree.
Yes. One of my all time faves!
I didn’t care for it either. Movie on this was actually better to me
Yes yes yes
Yes.
It does take a bit to but once you do, it is so worth it. I struggled and it’s now one of my favorite books I’ve read. ❤️
YES!!
Yes!
It is definitely a book that can be hard to focus on because it jumps around so much you have to keep going back to see what date you were supposed to be in. It was ok for me but not great.
No
The Shoemaker’s Wife was better!
I couldn’t get into it
I liked it – sort of. I found it very rough, emotionally.
I thought it was much better to listen to than to read.
This is one of those with viewpoints on all sides when it was discussed before. Love it or hate it. I couldn’t finish it. Some people objected to the back and forth timeline which didn’t bother me. I found the characters shallow and unbelievable and unrelatable. Good luck whichever way you go! 🙂
Hated it. So ridiculous. And not in a good way.
I did not love this book And I’m not sure why. She’s a brilliant writer and her craft is evident in the way she weaves together all the time lines. But I keep rooting for everyone to die anyway.
It took me a few chapters, but I enjoyed it. However, I follow Laurie Notaro’s rule: life is too short to suffer through a bad book. Nothing wrong with deciding it doesn’t float your boat, there are millions of others out there waiting to be read!
It was definitely slow, but I loved it.
Didn’t care for it at all. I even tried to watch the movie thinking it might be more appealing, nope. Eric Bana is hot but couldn’t save it.
It wasn’t one of my favorites but you need to finish it.
I loved it!
Fabulous book!
Love, love, love that book!
Loved it
