I just started my first one this week and I am IN LOVE. I have been meaning to and wanting to… I listen while I drive to work.

All day 5 days a week. Audiobooks allow me to “read” when I have to be doing other things ie work. If I’m at home and have the chance to relax then I can read a book, if I have to do housework I can still “read”

I’m an English teacher, and during the school year, it is the only way I squeeze in any reading in the car and at the gym

Yes. I have 70 mile commute daily. Great way to pass the time. And sometimes at nite when I can’t sleep with head phones.

❤️ listening to a story while on the treadmill, Precor, driving, doing floor work (stretching, abs), cleaning, doing mindless things with my hands (drawing), before nodding off… Really enjoy listening to one, while also reading another via hardcopy! ?

2
Reply
Christina

Yes! I usually listen to one on my way to and from work or while I’m doing things around the house. I have a book to read on my kindle for early morning with coffee and I like to read before bed.

Absolutely! I can’t read print material so I now call it listening. The books are so vivid because of the narration. I recommend them highly.

Yep!! In the car, while I’m hiking, when I’m doing housework. It’s nice to be able to ‘read’ while getting other things done. I also listen to my audiobooks at double speed, so I get through them quickly.

I have since they were on cassette tape. It’s a great way to increase reading time and some books are made for it, coming alive with the excellent voices they create.

I confess it’s a lot about the voice with me. It can be a really good story but if I don’t like the voice then can’t listen. Like a nice calm gentle voice
I really like listening to Stephen Fry he is on my Calm App
