It’s a good way to get people’s opinions on different books
“better” is subjective and relies on your own interpretation. I wholly recommend books I have read! Not offensive though.

It’s kind of vague—but completely normal
No I don’t find it offensive. However, I would personally phrase it “which book do you like better”. That way the answers aren’t blanket statements.
It’s okay, I didn’t even think it was going to cause an issue but I guess I was wrong. I just found it on one of my favorite authors Twitter and wanted to share.

Personal choice. Nothing wrong with that.
It’s a pretty simple non offensive question, the problem lies with the answers so if you’re willing to take responsibility for the fact that some people might answer with more than just opinions and others dont seem to care about someone’s feelings at times than it should be fine. You just have to be willing to delete or stop harsh answers if needed coz lord knows the ones who are willing to give them wont.
