Physical books for sure. I like being able to easily go back to something I might have missed. I only get the e books if free or super cheap.

That’s the one reason I like ebooks better: Search. So spoiled by that feature that I can’t stand wasting time looking back to find something.

They make waterproof e-readers now! I got the oasis for my bday earlier this year but I think there is a paperwhite waterproof one now too. I dunked mine in….it works!

Enjoy reading both. Some I have in both forms because I find reading on my Kindle PaperWhite is easiest at night in bed.

Physical books, I spend a lot of time on a computer in my day job and when writing my own books, so having a physical book feels my relaxing and I can actually switch off

My Kindle. Bought it for myself last Christmas. Haven’t picked up a physical book since then. Fits in my purse, can change the font, no wait when ordering books, can start reading immediately, easier to hide at work. ?

Nothing beats the scent and tactile feel of a physical book, but eBooks are the only way to go on foot/mass transit/a travel vacation — and audiobooks for car rides.

I used to prefer physical books until I got to college and ran out of space. I enjoy ebooks now because I can read in the dark next to my husband. I can get ebooks from my library without ever having to leave my house and I never have to worry about late fees. I’m due with my first child in february and I’ll be reading a lot then during my down time!

BOTH! Many e-books are cheaper than the physical book. I could never afford to buy physical copies of all the books I have on my Kindle. However, especially reading right before bedtime, a physical book seems more comfortable. There is something delightful about holding a physical book in my hands.

I read both. I love just the feel and “heft” of a traditional book, a REAL book. I also love the convenience of e-books because I can carry many books with me — right in my purse, and add books while on vacation. I also read many ARC e-books and write my reviews as I read by making notes as I read and saving them in “the cloud” for later use. So really, a book is great no matter its form.?❤️?

I still read book books, but when I do I miss a couple things about my kindle. 1. You can make the font a bigger size (helpful for my aging eyes:) 2. I like how the kindle tells you how many minutes are left in a chapter or the book. And 3. I like how you can highlight a word on the kindle to get a definition

I have always loved physical books but e-books are vastly superior. They are easier to transport and to take on vacations or read in bed. The ability to instantly find the definition of the word that I don’t totally understand is incredible. The ability to search the book for something I may have missed or to immediately look up a detail via Google or Wikipedia Is something I do on a daily basis. For me it’s impossible to imagine going back to physical books.

By far I prefer a paper book….it just doesn’t feel the same not to have it in my hands, to turn the pages, to just have that tactile sensation…..that being said though, there are HUGE advantages to electronic books in the area of space and weight. I move a lot with my job, and although I have 3 bookcases of books, I have many more electronic ones than physical ones merely due to space and weight limits. And when I next move, I have to pair down more of my physical ones. 🙁

when Ebooks came out I liked them better cause they was cheaper, but I am starting to rethink this as the prices of ebooks are getting nasty and way too pricey.( Greed has gone through roof) I think I might go back to regular books. I was told it was because everyone bought electric readers so that was why prices rose. I have my own idea on this. it is still called greed of publishing companies. Authors do not always get the money.

I love physical books—this is said with the complete understanding that my MFA is in book and paper arts, so, grain of salt. I make books, I read books. I love books.

That said, though, I agree with the above: you’re still getting the story and that is what matters. However you ‘read,’ you’re still reading!
