Me too. I think I know what I want to read next and then decide something different at the last moment.

I load up the Kindle with a variety. When it’s time for a new read I generally choose from them according to my mood.

I am a mood reader, so a reading list is rarely planned.

Random most of the time. Unless I’m in the middle of a series that left me on a good cliffhanger and I have to read the next book.

Random on how I am feeling. I’ll choose a few to bring to the hospital where I volunteer and choose one to read while I’m at lunch

I have a group of about 5 to 7 books that are in my TBR pile, and I usually pull from there…and then repopulate books into the TBR pile…unfortunately this means that I might have a book or two there for many months…

I do both, sometimes I feel like I need some kind of direction, and having a list of books helps me out, when other times, I will just grab one.

I have a veritable conveyor belt that never ceases. I take a book or two back to the library and bring home another two or so to replace them. All while my TBR pile is still in effect lol.

I read a lot of non-fiction and while I don’t plan on what to read next, I try to stick to one of my major interest areas or else I would be overwhelmed by books.

I Have a stack beside my bed – but I change it frequently. So just because I have it “planned” does not mean I will follow that plan 🙂

First, I have to make sure book club book is read.
Secondly, if I have a new release due at library that takes priority. Then it’s whatever I’m in mood for.

Both. I kind of have an idea what books I want to read next. And borrow them from the library and I typically read them as they arrive. Sometimes a book will arrive I’m not in the mood to read (Ie: a biography when I really am in the mood for fiction) and then its a random choice.
