I get too distracted with other noises around me, when reading. Any talking, tv, music, etc throws me off.

It depends. I like to listen to music no matter what I’m doing but when it comes to reading I have to choose something that won’t distract me, and then depending on the intensity of what’s happening in the book I might need total silence so my focus is totally on the work

Of course it’s normal, to each their own, right? I usually listen to music when I re-read books, because I just want to enjoy the already familiar words and plot. Usually, I try to look for music that is inspired by that book. I’ve found a lot of music inspired by my favorite books, on soudcloud. I listen to that and to other songs that give me the same feeling the book does.
