No! I couldn’t think of anything more frustrating than to do that. It was bad enough having to do that to all the school books back in the day let alone the amount of books I have. I just look after them really well by keeping them either in storage or well dusted on a shelf.
I used to, until I covered an antique book that devalued it because this had been done – not realizing at the time of course – and since, I have never.
This implies that covering a book isn’t careful? Even if you’re careful while reading, covering a book can protect it when in transit, or if you wish to lend it.
I did not intend to imply that covering books is not being careful. I only lend books I am willing to lose. When carrying a book with me, I do protect it by placing it inside a plastic bag which may or may not be placed inside something rigid.
I have done in the past when I was young but if it’s not acid free it will wreck the book itself in the end. I usually don’t do it I just treat my books like they are my children.
Yes, my hardcover books at home. Bought a roll of plastic wrap from a library supplier (I’ve worked in libraries so know them and the process, I’ve often done it at jobs) and try to do it with a batch of books each time.

Adhesive plastic. It keeps my books from getting dirty and being destroyed from too much reading

I sure do. I order them from Brodart.
Yes! That’s kinda like a Filipino thing where you wrap everything in plastic hahaha!
No. But it goes in a thick plastic bag before going in my handbag to minimise damage.
Yes ? I always do
not me.
Depends on how much wear and tear it might be exposed to and if I value it enough to keep it or will pass it on before condition deteriorates.
No, I don’t. I read books in a day or two and handle them carefully. There’s no time for them to get messy!
Yes, in the past to our school books ??????
Yep, if I really love the book.

Yes my friend does and I like it!!
I used to, until I covered an antique book that devalued it because this had been done – not realizing at the time of course – and since, I have never.
When done properly, covering shouldn’t cause any damage to the book, and be easy to remove.
I was only a teen at the time.
No. I handle my books with great care.

I wish I could… But I have over 800 books… Would take me forever to cover all of them!

No but that’s a good idea
Practical, but aesthetically offensive.\
