A couple of years ago I came across a paperback of his called Eve (1945), which was loosely adapted into a great film by Joseph Losey. The novel is set in Hollywood and proved a very good piece of noir about l’amour fou. Warmly recommended!

Yes, I read quite a few as a young adult – I think I bought one second hand and then managed to track a few more down!
