Love everything Stephen king but I think the creepiest one I read so far was misery. A little different than the movie
Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill… The Grip of It by Jac Jemc are two recent reads that come to mind.
A Boy’s Life. McCammon
Second Joe Hill. Really like his books. I just bought one called A head full of ghosts that is supposed to be good.
Also like Robert R. Mccammon’s Swan Song.
Swan Song was good. That being said, I really think that A Boy’s Life is better.

I loved a head full of ghosts – it was a quick read but holy crap it was so good
The only horror book I ever read was Amityville Horror. Don’t recall the author. Scared the begeezus out of me. Long time ago though.
All of Poppy Z. Brite’ s older stuff, Haunting of Hill House, and We have always lived in the castle.
I can’t handle spiders so the Hatching and Skitter by Ezekiel Boone freaked me out.

Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane is a pretty scary book; while not truly a horror story it’s quite a mind trip!
I just read Gilchrist by Christian Galacar. It was really good and read a lot like a Stephen King book.
