I’m new at reading books. So I’ve only read books by Colleen Hoover which she is amazing. But now I’m wondering what other authors are out there especially in the mystery section.

I just realized you asked for a book not an author. *face palm* To be fair, almost all of his novels are mystery books.

Our book club read Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams for mystery book month. It was lots of fun.

If you like cozy mysteries, I’d recommend A Dark and Stormy Murder and Death in Dark Blue by Julia Buckley. If you like psychological mysteries, Ruth Rendell is queen. I’d start with A Judgement in Stone. For a classic whodunnit, The Thin Man by Dashiell Hammett or Who Killed Roger Ackroyd? By Agatha Christie. The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins is regarded as one of the first mysteries ever written. Gillian Flynn’s Dark Places or Sharp Objects are wonderful modern day mysteries.

Nothing beats Agatha Christie. Hercule Poirot’s Christmas is a good one for this time of year.
