I’ve heard that Turtles all the Way Down by John Green is good. The character has OCD I think.

Though not specifically about mental illness, I always read The Humans by Matt Haig as an allegory of depression. He also has two wonderful non-fiction books called Reasons to Stay Alive and Notes on a Nervous Planet that are personal and moving and uplifting and I can’t recommend them enough.

Entangled by Cat Clarke. I also second Jenny Larson’s Furiously Happy.
