When you say crime fiction with a serial killer in it, my mind automatically goes to James Patterson’s Women’s Murder Club Series. Start with 1st To Die. That’s where the series begins.

The shining girls by Lauren beaks. It’s about a time traveling serial killer. Not my favorite, but murder mysteries usually aren’t. My friend on the other hand, who likes thriller type stuff thought it was excellent

The Dresden Files, the first book is called Storm Front. It’s sci-fi and crime fighting, the main character is a wizard who helps the Chicago PD. It’s high impact all the time, keeps me on my toes.

These are excellent. Serial killers with a paranormal twist. There are 15 or 16 books in the series so far. And they are all great.

JD Robb’s In Death series is good. Basically she is street cop from the future. Nora Roberts is actually the real author but I honestly like JD Robb’s books better. Lol
