Me too! I’m a middle school teacher in a small town. It was hard to read at times.

Sally

Definitely! Coincidentally so timely, too.

I’ve loved all of the Fredrik Backman books I’ve read so far. He really sucks the readers right into his books.

I was searching some other things on the library website, so I looked for it. There it was. They must add them to the database when they order them? I’m #7 of 14 copies.

Maybe I’ll revisit this. I dropped it because it was too much into sports.

The hockey is a part of the story, but there’s so much more to it than that.

2
Sally

The emphasis – the saturation – of the sport is designed to have the reader understand the community’s obsession with hockey. It is the town’s sole hope, from grandparent on down.

Exactly my reaction. Such a good book told in different perspective.

I find it so interesting how some characters are nameless. The President of the club, the man in the black jacket in the Saab, the bass player. I just really love his writing style.
