I use Overdrive, hoopla and RB Direct for audio library books. They all have different libraries. If you have access to all of them take advantage. For ebooks if I don’t purchase thru Kindle or iBooks, hoopla seems to have the best selection
I get my ebooks through the library, but I’ve found I like reading them with Kindle best. I love the scrolling, and like being able to adjust the screen light.
I love my Kindle devices. (I also have the Kindle app on my phone and tablet for reading when I don’t have one of my devices handy.) I prefer Libby to Overdrive, but sometimes I can get the book I’m looking for on Overdrive, but not Libby. I use “send to Kindle” on Overdrive and Libby, so I can read them on the app and all my devices.
@Kathy, I toggle back and forth between Overdrive and Libby, so if you’re not finding what you want on one, it’s worth checking out the other if your library system uses both.
I don’t know why, but sometimes when I can’t find what I’m looking for on one, I can find it on the other. It’s the same Phoenix metro library system so I don’t know why that would be, that’s been my experience.
I use Libby and Overdrive to check books out of my local library onto my Kindle(s). I use Hoopla to check out TV and movies onto my iPad.
As a California resident, I can get a library card at nearly every library system in the state. So if a book isn’t available from one, I can often find it at another.
I use all. No particular favorite.
I use Kindle and sometimes Overdrive
I use Libby and hoopla because they have different books!

Kindle, overdrive and Hoopla and the public library.

I tried that with Libby and it said that my library doesn’t have a version of the book for my Kindle device.
