Yes, one of my all-time favorites. First two or three chapters were tough, but it got better. Just continue reading. I’m glad I didn’t put it down.

Read it 3 times – for high school, for Uni & once to see if I would enjoy it more when I wasn’t *forced to read it. Unfortunately, no.

It’s okay. It doesn’t deserve its title of a ‘classic’ but it’s not the worst book out there.

Hated it. If I had to ever pick my most hated book this would be it. Not sure if it’s because I had to analyse the life out of it in College and that ruined it for me. But I can’t stand it, even thinking about it makes me angry ?

Read it last year. Uneven. From that modern period where it was ok to have no meaningful female characters in a plot.

Love it! I’ve read it 5 times since 2012. If you like it, you should also check out Trimalchio, which is an early version of what would become The Great Gatsby.

I think the book is by far better than the movie, but I’m not too fond of it because the majority of the characters are unlikeable (IMO)

Not my favorite. I like Tender is the Night and think “Babylon Revisited” is one of the greatest American short stories ever.

I’ve read it a few times, for school. The characters are unlikeable, not one I’d like to ever meet in person.

It’s an excellent book where a lot of unlikable characters get exactly what they deserve. F Scott Fitzgerald is not the easiest to read but if you want to start small try his short stories. Bernice Bobs her hair is a favorite of mine.

One of the two books I remember hating the most when I had to read them in high school, the other was Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. Ugh!

I loved it – a bit of trivia for y’all – the book was written to fund Zelda’s treatment but didn’t sell until it was selected to print in paperback (to be a size that would fit in a soldier’s pocket) and then sent to WWll soldiers to read.
