I read the first 2 and loved them but ended up giving up half c way through the 3rd. Too many people and places and got confused and lost interest!

Also enjoyed all three, but could have skipped the first 100 or so pages that was suppose to set the scene. I nearly gave up. But glad I didn’t.

@Jennifer, that’s what I referred to. I didn’t think I gained anything from the financial background.

Brilliant series of books. Shame author has died. He writes a good story. Do watch the dvd’s after reading the books not before.

I read them before they even hit the book stores in America!!!’ Saw all three Swedish films, then the American from from the first book. Lisbeth was the greatest- freshest character to come out in a series in a long time.

Agreed, read the books then watch the subtitled Swedish movies. I think they are better than the American version though I do like Daniel Craig.

Hated it. Didn’t want to finish. I don’t appreciate rape scenes just for the sake of a rape scene.

Wonderful books!!! Takes some getting used to the Swedish names. So sad he only lived to write 3 books

Although Stieg Larsson did leave about three quarters of a fourth novel on his computer, as well as synopses for the fifth and sixth in the series.

Loved them! It does take a bit to get into them because of the Swedish names, but totally worth it. There is the fourth book, which @Adrianne told me about. Article is on http://theguardian.com/

The first book spends a lot of time on family history and I found that tedious. once I was beyond that the rest of the trilogy was full of intrigue and so well written
