I am! I like to read them for something more light-hearted even though there are parts where Stephanie is in danger (in EVERY book). But I think they are fun.
They get better and better so maybe skip # 3 when she was just getting them established. I laugh out loud in every book. you don’t need to read them in order.
I also have to agree with @Lisa, listening to Lorelei read them is the best. I listen on my MP3 player while I do housework, ironing, etc. and the time goes so fast !!
OMG… So entertaining and hilarious…. Best Enjoyed on CDs or audible with the reader Lorelei King…Her voices of the characters will have you laughing out loud- especially Grandma Masser, Lula and Connie’s voices. Sooo funny. I always listen to them in my car when they are released.
@Kristen I saw Janet Evanovich in an interview once and I thought it was so interesting and also accurate when she described herself as more of an entertainer than a writer. She acknowledges that these are not great literary masterpieces but that she writes them to entertain her audience. I encourage all of you to listen to them versus read them ..they are exponentially better when you do that.
The Plum novels are a fun escape, but starting to feel repetitious. I do enjoy the newer series written with Lee Goldberg: The Heist, The Pursuit, et. al.
Gave up on the series at number 17. The first six were fantastic though and I loved them. But since about number 7 or 8 they just seemed formulaic. I also could no longer take Stephanie’s indecision between her love interests. 🙁
Yes they are very formula but I still like them. They are a quick read and I am always smiling at the end and I am still trying to make up my mind Italian cop or security man of mystery!!!
Quick. Easy. Funny. YES! My Mum and I love them.
I loved them. I read up to the 14th one. They are funny
Love them. Light and fluffy reading.
Love her books got me
Through a nasty time in life my oldest daughter loves her also ?
I read the first 12, but then they just seemed to go on and on…..but the first one was laugh out loud funny! A good light read!

I liked the 1st one! Maybe the 2nd but struggling with the 3rd! ?♀️

Currently reading 25, it’s like visiting an old friend once a year.
Hi Sharon! Barb from Norwin 🙂
Hi Barb, how are you?
Newly married and a new Grandma…I’m doing well! <3 And you?
Grammy to two, isn’t it fun? Headed to Disney in February with them and their parents. Congratulations on your marriage.
Yes!!
Super funny! Stopped reading after 9 though. I got exasperated with her convoluted love life.
It’s still as convoluted 15 books later!
@Sharon Ugh! For the love of God Stephanie chose someone! And by someone I mean Joe
Caroline, I tend to lean toward Ranger. Probably just to spice up her life and narrative!
Sometimes I think that they should BOTH dump her! Let her stew a little.
Love them. I consider them my reading break.
Love them!
Me too
Loved them. Read all of them except the latest, #25, I think.
Love them! I generally listen to them as the narrator, Lorilei King, is terrific!
I really enjoy that series but I haven’t read all of them.
I love those books!
Read them all – laughed out loud.
Love them!
She actually has at least 2 other series with co writers. I have read them all!
@Cathy me too.
I like them but I have to say that after seeing Janet Evanovich I am not as fond of them. You would think it would be the opposite.
@Sheila sounds like an interesting story
@Teresa she wasn’t a very good speaker. Sort of blah
I think she has a new book coming out soon
I just read the first one! Fantastic! Hilarious!
Love them

They make me laugh….some are better than others.
Few were good. Now boring
I loved some of the early ones!
i love reading her and have read all the books. Lula and Stephanie are hilarious together. I have had a crush on Ranger from book number one!
I have read all of her Stephanie Plum series. I always laugh out loud when I read them. I am waiting to get the 25th one from the library.
Yes read a little up to 23; great light read
I read up to 10 I think need to revisit
I enjoy them
We’re fans here
Yeah. Good fluff stuff and good for some laughs. I use her books as fillers between more serious stuff. Thanks for writing them Janet !
I also have to agree with @Lisa, listening to Lorelei read them is the best. I listen on my MP3 player while I do housework, ironing, etc. and the time goes so fast !!
Those books are hilarious. I agree that they are a fluff read but sometimes that’s nice.
I like them, they’re a light, fun read. The earlier ones are better than the newer ones.

Yes!!! But, I will admit. I bought the latest book, 25, and I have yet to start it. After all these years, I think I’m a little burned out.
