I agree on this, too!

Nancy

Will not see it due to Janet Fonda.

2
Gail

I’m with you all. I wouldn’t spit on Jane Fonda if she was on fire!

1
Viola

I like her. She’s a great actress.

2
Jean

Refuse to go because of Jane Fonda as well. #takeastand

2
Mary

I like Jane Fonda. She has done a lot of good throughout her life. She was anti war but she has that right. Much else is lies. 24 yr veteran. The movie looks a bit cliched but they all look great.

2
Judy

Me too, I do not want to see her.

1
Lee

@Viola yes she is a wonderful actress. I’ll watch just about anything she’s in!

1
Walter

Maybe I’ll watch it on DVD…

Please. I really dislike these vehicles aimed at women of a certain age. I’ve seen them before and all have made me squirm with the wink wink jokes, and cheesy comedy. The trailers for this have confirmed my suspicions about this one. Sorry to see these fine actresses on this level.

I agree. I was hoping someone else would see it and let us know how it is. Probably something I would watch at home when it comes out. Usually the only things I go to the big screen for are action movies

Sona

To me, it’s a “pay the bills and get some publicity at the same time movie”. What a waste of talent.

My book club is going on Monday. However the Boston Globe gave it one star and a scathing review. Oh well. Well still have a good time regardless.

Nope. When I saw they were using “Fifty Shades of Gray,” I got disgusted.

Just came home from it, never laughed so hard at a movie before! Whether you’re a fan of any of the ladies or not, you still will laugh. I enjoyed it, it’s especially funny for the 50 and over crowd!

My whole book club is going and then out to dinner, to discuss it. Had no desire to read “the book”, and am not that fond of Fonda, but seems like a fun chick flick for women of a “certain age” and I’m one of them. PG 13 can’t be too bad

Might see it when it comes out on HBO (or one of those movie stations). It just like Sex and the City: 30 Years Later. So I’ll wait for a it.

Saw it today! Wait till DVD/Cable. It’s cute and has some funny parts but I wasn’t feeling Jane Fonda’s part/story line. Candace Bergen never disappoints!

Too bad about the book they chose. Disappointing. I’ll wait for DVD.

It has little to do with the book, it’s the relation ship between the women and each of their stories. The boom is just a jumping off point.

Just left the movie. I thought it was hilarious. Me and my bestie went with her mom. We were the youngest ones in the theater but it was great! For all the folks who dont want to see it because of the book, honestly that is silly. They just choose it to put excitement in their lives. It’s got little to do with the movie.

I saw it last night and really enjoyed it. I am single and 60 so I could relate. Laughed out loud several times. It’s not really about the book, but about friendship and being there for each other.
