My sister and I share my Amazon account so she told me tonight to not buy anymore till I’ve read what I have. I constantly wait for books to drop and I jump on them when they drop

@Heather, Wow! Sounds to me like people who are jealous you have an internal life they can’t be a part of. Give them a book tell them to read and remind them that people who read are 68% less stressed than people who don’t.

Oh yeah all the time!! My bookshelves are mounted on my bedroom outer wall. Plus I have stacks underneath the windows on the same wall. My husband insists that one day the wall is going to collapse that side of the house from all the weight!! But I keep getting books anyway ?

I just tell people “well what about you spending money on this or that? At least I can get enjoyment numerous times with books!” ??

Reading is a Passion that cannot be ignored or denied. It just IS. If I ever get married again (haha) I would put in the vows, “ Do you take this Woman AND her BOOKs and her Crochet talents to be your Wife?”

My mother used to get mad at me about buying books and told me I spent too much money on them. Yeah. That started when I was in grade school spending $0.10 to $.35 per book through Scholastic in the 50s and 60s. Too bad she didn’t live to see that spendthrift daughter become a book reviewer. LOL

Yes, and I tell “them” (aka my husband) that is just crazy talk. It’s like him having to drink all his beer before ever buying more, even though there may be super-amazing beer out there he hasn’t tried yet. And, it may even be on sale!
