Not as a rule… although I’ll browse an eye-catching book and read the puffies and the dust jacket description to see if it sounds like my sort of thing. I tend to read lots of reviews and choose my books that way. And I get on tangents, so if I read a book I love, I’ll go to the bibliography or the sources at the end and look for more titles there.
I wouldn’t say I pick books solely for the cover, but I am influenced by a beautiful cover, for sure.

Kinda how I choose my wine ?
Guilty as charged.

Pick up-yes, buy not until i read blurb and then go from there
Pick up very often in the bookshop but after I read the blurb, 98% stays in the shop?
I definitely check the book out if the cover is pretty! But do read the blurb after that.
Yes. But I buy it for the story.

I have been guilty of this… I also enjoy picking books with intriguing titles as well when eyeing the spines in the stacks at the library.
i use Goodread to pick books in the shop
Yup and sometimes it works out.
Yes. And pass up books if I donโt like the cover. Itโs served me well.

Not the only reason but definitely the reason I take a look at books
Yup, and Iโve regretted it. Though I still want to get White Stag just for the cover lol
