I openly admit to shedding tears today. Comics (Spider Man in particular) are what ignited my love of reading. I still love Marvel Universe to this day.
I like a lot of his work, but I don’t find him nearly as clever as he seems to think he is, and he is needlessly dismissive of the medium of comics as a whole–which I find petty. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though. When it comes to Stan, I don’t think there’s any way to know for sure who came up with what or who created which aspects of what characters today, but he has been the face of Marvel Comics as a whole for decades, and the company could not have become what it is today without him.
A lot of people seem to be calling him a direct credit thief, what is true is that he has nothing to his name on his own which is what I find interesting. You cannot dispute that he has taken almost full credit for work that is not all his own, as you say we can’t know for sure what is what but it’s not all his and that is for sure. Alan Moore amuses me 😉
I grew up with X-men. So sad… What a legend.
Ues?

I’m with you. My daughter and I both cried.
@Jeff I love your profile pic!
@Hollie, thank you. I’m just so very glad I got the chance and a few words with him. Sad day…
I admit it. I teared up. Sad day indeed.
It is so sad but from what I read he was very sick towards the end.
Excelsior!
I said the same thing until a comic book buff explained what a credit thief Stan Lee was, so disappointing… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iFV1HdO2pQ
Alan Moore: the greatest comic book writer to ever hate everything about comic books.
Well considering how he’s been treated, can you blame him?

As someone said, most of us grew up with Stan Lee as THE Comic Book God but as it turns out he is more a Comic Book Ambassador.
Fair enough.
I’ll miss his cameos in the movies.
At that time I was a federal express delivery man…..
Long Live Stan…
Made growing up in the 70’s so much fun!!! Loved Spider Man??
It’s not that obvious though… 🙂
Not a comic lover, but I love Stan… He makes me happy every time I see his cameo in every Marvel movies.
Yes. Loved my comics ❤️❤️❤️
Yes. Sad loss.
