The best one I have read is the Bible, but is does emphasize help more than self and I have found that to work very successfully

Not everyone isn’t. It’s her opinion.

I didn’t know we were limited to reading certain books depending on who we are or our belief or non-belief system. I read all kinds of books, because I am interested in reading about a variety of topics, but those topics don’t necessarily define me. I was just saying this was the best one on that topic that I have read. Have a blessed day!

I love the Boundaries books. They have a general one and specific (for kids, teens, dating, etc).

I used to read many of them and got tired of the prescriptive methodology since people are so different. They can often lead to more self-doubt than self-help because we follow the “steps” but things don’t get better. That is because there is no one size fits all, secular or religious. That said, I was impressed with the book Mentalligence by Kristen Lee. She tries to help us change our thinking rather than follow a prescriptive recipe. https://books.google.com/books?id=QZwvDwAAQBAJ
