Any good love story suggestions?

Hi all! So I’ve been feeling a good love story…but am not one for the “Romance” genre. Any suggestions?

A Marriage of Opposites (Alice Hoffman – beautiful and riveting historical fiction about the mother of Camille Pissarro)
All the Light We Cannot See (achingly painful yet lovely romance within an epic tale)

Anything by Anita Shreve, you can’t go wrong with Anita!

Lila by Marilynn Robinson. A most unconventional romance, beautifully written. Warning for type A readers, it’s the 3rd book of a trilogy, but I think it could stand alone. I was quite satisfied with Wendell Berry’s Hannah Coulter, certainly not a traditional romance, but a love story all the same.

Renee Neuenswander I think she means someone who needs to read books in order. Type A usually means someone who has to do things specifically in order or how they’re “meant” to be done. They usually are the ones who have to finish books even if they don’t like them. (In my experience)

1
Kimberly

Hahaha I this instance I think it just refers to the fact that the recommended book is the third in the trilogy. If that wouldn’t bother you, then it might be a great choice!

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes…you’ll need tissues!

Princess Bride. I love the movie, but the book is so good. It was written prior to the movie and goes into greater detail about each character. Has a number of wonderful scenes that couldn’t make it into the film.
