The Handmaid’s Tale is one of my favorites. Love the MaddAddam trilogy & Alias Grace as well. Have tried to start Cat’s Eye three times but just can’t seem to get into it.

@Ginny I started watching Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu so I won’t read it but I’m determined to read Alias Grace before watching it.

@Goalie me too! Took me a little longer to get into but thought it was fantastic once the plot got going.

@Amy I loved it from the beginning. The other two books in the trilogy were harder to get into for me.

Studied The Handmaid’s Tale for A level
and loved it. Then taught The Blind Assassin and Alias Grace which I really enjoyed. Have read and loved others and then thought Naomi Alderman’s The Power was great and reminiscent of Atwood.

@Charissa I will check her out! Thanks

The Power was reminiscent of Handmaid’s Tale because of the post-apocalyptic setting. After loving that I went on to read her other novels: Disobedience and The Lesson which I also really enjoyed.
