So who here has read this amazing book?! I’ve just finished it and I really need to talk to somebody about it ?

I don’t know how to process all the emotion that came with reading this book.

I am so sad that it’s over and although I kind of predicted that Ove would die and how he would die I am so sad ?

It was one if the most sad, but heartwarming, story I’ve ever read. I have no issues with lending out books but I’ll never lend this one out. Too special

I know what you mean!! I was expecting it but still was heartbreaking. That being said, I finished the book with a smile on my face. I thought it was the perfect way to end the book with the reference to the new owner respecting the Saab!

I laughed and cried in equal measure reading this book. And yes I did the same thing. The ending was so uplifting but I’m an emotional wreck now ?

@Katie It was just so phenomenal!! I loved reading about Ove’s relationships with Sonja and his father! And then the relationships he built when he opened himself back up — beautiful!! I’m glad he had that extra time before he got to be with Sonja again ? I loved when the kids called him Grandpa! ?

I was laughing so hard when he went to the train station and the guy asked for his credit card and the book says Ova stared at him as if they were in a dark alley and he asked to see his privates… lol ???

This book was so serious in parts and tackled tough things but it made me laugh SO much!! My boyfriend kept asking what was going on and I showed him my book, he was all “Oh, you’re reading that one still!!” This happened often, haha! It had me laughing out loud very often.

I brought this book for my partner who hasn’t read for years. ( he saw the movie first because I wanted to watch it) he loved the movie (I didn’t) so I brought him the book because the movie was just cut and paste and left our a lot of stuff ? now he won’t stop reading. I am going to read it again I loved it that much because my partner reminds me a lot of ove ?

When they were in the hospital emergency room! I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that’s ever made me laugh AND cry at the same time so much.
