Yeah. I still regard him as one of my favorite authors, but sometimes the pacing can be a bit slow. I felt that way with Neverwhere as well. I love his short stories and shorter novellas, and even his kids books, but I have to be patient to work through his longer works.
enjoy reading it bro.. Im about to finish it And i tell you its not an easy read coz its slow in some parts.. But overall its a good read especially at the last part.
i almost stopped reading it.. But well i gave it another try. And luckily Ive finished.. Its not an easy read and you need to give an extra effort to appreciate it.
I find it one of the best books I have read this year. And I’m not saying this just because it’s written by Neil Gaiman(and I personally adore the man), but because it’s so unique and it combines the two things I love the most: mithology and road trips.
Love love love love love love it. Some give up too early on it as it turns into a literary masterpiece albeit after a relatively slow start. Amazing piece of work
This book was hard for me to read but I was invested in the characters so I got it on audio book and it was very good the narration helped through the slower parts of the book.
I hated it … deeply and without reservation.
Reasons?
@Cassie, I’m not sure right now, it has been quite awhile since I read it.
Oh okay. Was just curious, I haven’t read it, but it’s gotten so much hype.
One of my favorite books, however, it’s not for everyone. ?✌️
i totally agree.. Not for everyone especially those who wants action packed and fast -pace stories..
It’s a good book, interesting. Can be a bit slow in some parts, but overall I’d recommend it
exactly my sentiments … I almost stop reading it coz of it slow pacing..

I’m just over halfway through it right now, and I’m loving it!

Good….but it would have been better with more editing.
I loved it.
It was such a fast read, I loved it
Love it
Anticlimactic ending, but overall very fun
A bit slow in story development but things pick up in the last few chapters with surprising kickers ?
Loved it too!! Thought it was a good take on the botched apocalypse. Noteworthy book idea if I ever heard one.
Excellent book.
A little confusing and strange at times, but I did love it none the less. I liked Good Omens more though.
I stopped reading after 3 chapters I couldn’t get into it

Thanks for posting. I have also been curious about this book. I like the author.
Currently listening to it on audiobook. I admit I’m having a hard time concentrating on it.

Brilliant. Have read or at least twice.
I’m almost finished with it. I think it’s good but his faves for me are Stardust and Ocean at the end of the lane
I thought it was Boring however I enjoyed several other Neil Gaiman books
