I came up with an idea for a paranormal thriller one night at 3:00 AM. I had to go get a notebook for it immediately, lest I forget it, and ended up in quite a heightened state of anxiety during the trip. ?
Not whilst writing but after No Ordinary Girl was published , I realised I have one dark & twisted imagination & my husband now sleeps with one eye open ?
@Michael The murder and mayhem that I write doesn’t bother me, but when I include characters dying of diseases, or suffering from dementia, that hits a raw nerve and unsettles me. I tend to write faction, and so a lot of my yarns include incidents that I have lived through.

We’ve deleted it now as it should have been earlier today so it’s all on the main page x
Frailty is my favourite out if your books . I admit I had to go check on my daughter when I finished it x
I breathed a sigh of relief when I read the last page. I couldn’t take much more :s
@Sarah totally agree , Frailty is one of my favourite books as well , utterly heartbreaking but amazingly written , loved it. xxxx

My wife cried when she read White is the Coldest Colour.
I cried a lot reading this one @John
I cried reading it as well
I now struggle taking the dog out late at night which requires a trip through our underground car park.
Scared? No.
I have, however, questioned my sanity upon a near daily basis.
People who read my book give me funny looks.
It might be the gun and the “read this or i will blow your head off threat…” but, nah, I think it’s the contents, too.
I’ve sent a few shivers down my own spine thanks to the antics of my psychopaths – they take on a life of their own and make me cringe at times… 🙂

Yes!! I couldn’t sleep last night after I’d finished my latest!
Not “scared” as such, but it did bring back a few memories that I could’ve done with keeping buried!
