@Sittie… how about Bella Forrest… she does A Shade of Vampire… there’s like 60 of them… quick reads & they build off each other

Holly Black is good. I remember reading and enjoying Tithe and the sequel (the name of which is escaping me right now) as a teenager and really enjoying them. She’s got a new one out (Cruel Prince, I think) that I haven’t read yet but is getting a lot of good buzz too.

Ohh and if you are up to reading something not american/british,
The Raven Rings by Siri Pettersen is awesome!
It’s inspired by norse mythology and norse legends and it’s awesome
